PCs with Assistive Technologies in the Library
Hamilton and Sinclair Libraries have added more public PC workstations
equipped with headphones and ADA-compliant software for screen
magnification (Zoomtext) and screen reading (JAWS). There are PCs
designated for priority use by the physically challenged in the
following locations:
Hamilton Library public PC clusters
- Ground floor (Government Socuments and Maps Department)
- 1st floor (near the Reference Desks in both the Main Building and the Addition)
- 4th floor (next to the Express PCs, at far right of the Reference
desk in the Main Building)*
- 5th floor (to the left of the Reference desk in the Main Building)
Sinclair Library
- Wong Audiovisual Center
- Digital Media Studio
*JAWs and Zoomtext not available on Hamilton 4th floor workstation.
Patrons unfamiliar with the use of JAWS or Zoomtext may contact the
KOKUA office at 956-7511 (Ann Ito, Director - V/T) or 956-7612 for
information about learning to use the special software.
