Peter Petrovich Balakshin (1898-1990) was born in Vladivostok. After emigrating to San Francisco, he became the editor of Russkaia zhizn'. He authored the very important Final v Kitae (SF 1958. 2 v.) UH has 2 archival boxes, all of his Sobranie sochinenii, and Balakshin's English typewriter
