Loan Policy - Government Documents Collection

Loan Policy:

Most of items may be borrowed if a valid UH Library ID borrower's card is presented. Exceptions: Reference titles, items that are reference in nature, periodicals, high use materials, pamphlets, and documents deemed too fragile to circulate. The reference staff will make that determination. Loan period is 28 days with two renewals for all borrowers regardless of status (undergraduate, graduate, faculty, etc.)

Accessing The Collection:

Currently the Government Documents Collection is closed to the public as a result of the October 2004 flood. Materials are only accessible via paging using the Hawaii Voyager online catalog. Government Documents librarians are available to assist you with locating needed materials at the Sinclair Library reference desk, by phone, or by email. Paging for materials is available Monday through Friday during regular business hours. Retrieval times range from 15 minutes to 24 hours depending on the location of the paged material and the time of day. Materials with a location of "Dole Cannery" will take longer to retrieve since this location is off-campus. To check for the location of materials, check the Gov Docs Call number locations spreadsheet. After paging materials you may go to Log into Your Account to check item readiness.
