Arthur Goodfriend Papers

Journals

The Arthur Goodfriend Documentation Project focused upon selected materials relating to World War II, an event Goodfriend described as "the biggest scrap of all." The journals that focus on WWII offer important perspectives based on his experiences prior to, during, and following the war. Housed in the University of Hawai'i Library, they constitute a unique historical resource that greatly enhances and expands the record of WWII. The project was made possible by a grant from the Hawai'i Council for the Humanities.
