GWLA Reciprocal Circulation Program

Traveling to the Mainland for an extended visit? Want to be able to borrow books while you're there? The University of Hawaii at Manoa Hamilton Library participates in the Greater Western Library Alliance (GWLA) Reciprocal Circulation Program.

Effective July 1, 2009, UHM faculty and currently enrolled students may borrow books from selected university and college libraries while they are on site at participating GWLA libraries.

UHM Faculty members are also eligible for the OCLC Faculty Reciprocal Borrowing Card to access book collections while on site at selected U.S. research libraries. A list of participating OCLC institutions is available: http://www.oclc.org/membership/advisorycommittees/profile8.htm

Please contact the Access Services Department at Hamilton Library before you leave on your visit. We will help you locate the nearest participating GWLA library, and facilitate establishing borrowing privileges at the destination library. Please apply for the OCLC Card at Hamilton Library, Access Services Department, before you leave Hawaii.
