Group study rooms are available for use by University of Hawaii at
Manoa students, faculty, and staff on a first-come, first-served basis. The
rooms are available whenever the building is open.
Study rooms are checked out to individuals with a valid UH
Manoa ID card in good standing.
Group study rooms 202-208 are located behind the elevators on the second
floor of the main building. Group study rooms A251-A254 are located on the second floor of the Hamilton
Addition. Use of these rooms is subject to the Guidelines listed below.
Guidelines
- Check out a study room key at the Circulation Desk in the main lobby with
your valid UH Manoa ID card.
- Close and lock the door whenever you leave the room.
- Return the key as soon as you finish using the
room. Failure to return the key can result in a lost key fee of $100.
- Use of the rooms is on a first come, first served basis. Reservations are not
accepted. The rooms are intended for group use.
- Keep the study room door closed to avoid disturbing others.
- Erase the chalkboard before leaving the room.
- As a courtesy to others, do not occupy a room longer than needed to
complete your work.
- Do not leave your personal belongings unattended in the room.
- Do not smoke, eat, or drink in the room. Water in covered bottles is
permitted.
- Do not move furniture into or out of the room.
- Do not cover the windows of the room.
- Library security personnel monitor group study rooms regularly.
- Abuse of the rooms may result in loss of the study room privilege.
