Flatbed Scanners Available for Public Use - Hamilton Library
There are three (3) scanners located in the Science/Technology computer lab, Room A-152 on the first floor of the Addition.
1) Fujitsu 8 1/2 x 11 flatbed scanner with automatic document feeder (ADF)
2) HP 5100C flatbed scanner for the general public
3) Epson Perfection 3590 flatbed scanner with 35mm film adapter
is connected to a PC running the Kurzweil Reader 1000 scanning and reading software. Priority use of this scanner is for patrons with visual disabilities. Use of this workstation and scanner requires authentication using an active UH Manoa faculty, student or staff ID bar code. Internet access is available from this workstation. Check at the Reference Desk if you need assistance.
scans up to A4 (8.25 in x 11.7 in) size documents. It requires no authentication to use. The HP software is provided on the computer workstation. Patrons can save their scans to the desktop, their own floppy or Zip100 disks, or their own USB devices such as flash drives. There is no Internet access from this workstation.

Use of this workstation and scanner requires authentication using an active UH Manoa faculty, student or staff ID bar code. Patrons can save their scans to the desktop, their own floppy or Zip100 disks, their own USB devices such as flash drives, or burn to their own CD-R disks. Internet access is available from this workstation.
