Laptop Docking

Hamilton Library has wired laptop "docking" network capabilities for UH System Library users. University of Hawaii faculty, staff, researchers and students who bring their own laptop equipped with an ethernet card and cable may access the campus network from many carrels and tables in the Phase 3 Addition, on floor 1 and on floors 3 through 4. There are 26 docking points located on the first floor of the Phase 3 Addition, and 4 each on floors 3 and 4 of the Phase 3 Addition. Graduate Research Carrels are also equipped with laptop docking ports as are the Group Study Rooms.

Computer cables formerly available at the Reference desks are now available at the Circulation counter. The cables may be checked out as a day loan and they will be subjected to fine (.50 per day) if not returned. The cables must be returned directly to the Circulation desk. For further information, inquire at the main Hamilton Circulation desk.

Please note: Network availability cannot be guaranteed at all times in all locations. The library is not responsible for any losses that might result from a low or dropped network signal; for loss or damages to personal computing equipment brought into and used in the building, or for lost data due to equipment or electrical failures or malfunctions.
