Oceanography

I. PROGRAM INFORMATION

The Department of Oceanography allows students to specialize in physical, chemical, geological, or biological ocean sciences. Biological oceanography is an interdisciplinary field drawing on a broad range of other disciplines in oceanography and the physical sciences.

Faculty and graduate student research interests include coral reef and marine fish ecology; oceanic productivity; ecology of midwater animals, especially cephalopod mollusca; benthic biological oceanography; aquaculture; and phytoplankton ecology.

The department offers the MS, and PhD degrees in Oceanography
